MI2 Chip

Centeo's MI2 Chip Series (Multi-cell Immobilization and Imaging Chip) designed by Dr. Bernhard Strauss of the Gurdon Institute is the world's first commercially available technology for the passive and parallel immobilization of embryos, with over 250 embryo immobilization capacity.

The individual chambers can hold cells or aggregates up to 150 µm in diameter.

Fabrication process is isotopic etching and thermal bonding with only glass used as construction material.
Interface size (diameter and thickness) is 35 mm x 10 mm.
Interface compatibility for standard 35 mm petri-dishes.
